A new seed processing factory supported by VBCF has been operating in Tra Vinh province

The inauguration ceremony of the seed processing factory was hosted by the Southern Seed Corporation (SSC) in Tra Vinh province.
The 1,000-ha factory composed of four dryers with capacity of 200 tons of corn/batch and located in Long Duc Industrial Zone is part of the business initiative of SSC which VBCF is committed to invest nearly 8 billion Dongs over two years. SSC introduces advanced technologies in the development and production of F1 hybrid corn seeds, which is a result of the Company’s partnerships with leading institutes and research centers.

Vietnam’s livestock industry has been growing steadily at an average rate of 5-6% per year. The growth of this industry has created a need for the management and disposal of animal waste, and biogas digesters are considered an effective solution. A biogas digester is a mechanism that manages and processes manure into a source of clean energy for cooking, lighting, and powering home appliances at farm households. This presents a market opportunity for environmentally friendly and low-cost biogas digesters for the low income customers.

New crop-cultivation model reaps benefits for farmers

LONG AN – 18 September 2014 marked an important milestone for VBCF as the Ecofarm's drying factory with a capacity of 28-tonne batches opened in Long An Province’s Duc Hoa District near the corn fields. The factory will expand to 2,500 square metres in the near future.
